Biography

Colin Farrel was born on May 31, 1976 in Castleknock Ireland. He was very athletic and played soccer in college, his father Eamonn Farrell was an FAI Cup winner. Farrell attend acting school but dropped out to devout all of his energy to his career with a reoccuring role in Ballykissangel, a BBC drama. His first big break came playing the role of Private Roland Bozz in the critically acclaimed Tigerland (2000).

Even though Tigerland did not do well at the box office Colin Farrell's performance caught the attention of hollywood and open doors for him in several big budget films. Following Tigerland Farrell had roles in American Outlaws, Hart's War, Dare Devil, The Recruit, Minority Report, S.W.A.T. and Phone Booth.

Colin was married briefly to actress Amelia Warner. He divorce after about 6 months and became involved with Kim Bordenave, with whom he had a son, James. Farrell has had a reputation for being a ladies man. In 2005 there was an infamous leak of a sex tape of him and former girlfriend Playboy Playmate Nicole Narain. That dispute lead to several lawsuits in an attempt to stop it's distribution over the internet. He also sued Narain in court accusing her of trying to profit from a tape that was supposed to be confidential.
