Biography

Drew Barrymore was born on February 22, 1975 in Culver City, California. Barrymore's comes from a family with a strong tradition in acting. Her grandfather John Barrymore and grandmother Dolores Costello are considered the greatest actors of their generation. Drew is a child actor and started out her carreer in such cinematic classics as E.T Extra-Terrestrial and Firestarter.

Her career as an actor is highly productive and distinguished. After starting with such mega hits as ET and Firestarter Drew's career floundered in the late 80s and early 90s. Barrymore's career turned around in the 90s after her controversial nude Playboy spread and a series of movies where she played sexually provactive characters. She has made over 30 movies and recently has had great commercial success with the Charlies Angels franchise.

Drew has had a troubled past with substance abuse and was drinking, smoking pot and using cocaine by the time she was 12. She also cultivated a bad girl image when she posed nude for Playboy magazine and flashed her breasts at David Letterman during his show. She is openly bisexual and has admitted to dating several women. Drew has been married to Jeremy Thomas and Comedian Tom Green, both marriages which ended in divorce.
