Biography

Halle Maria Berry was born on August 14, 1966 in Cleveland, Ohio. Halle Berry is biracial, her mother is English and father African American. Her parents divorced when Halle a child and she was raised by her mother.

Halle was popular and active at school. She was a member of the honor society member, editor of the school newspaper, class president, a cheerleader, and high school home coming queen.

Halle started out her career as a model. She entered beauty contests early on and did well. She was winner of Miss Ohio USA and the first runner up at Miss USA. She has won the title of Miss World. While modeling Halle pursue her dream of becoming an actor by starting out with several Television and film roles. She eventually won acclaim, as well as a Best Actress Oscar, for her work in Monsters Ball starring opposite Billy Bob Thorton. From that point forward her career has sky rockected. She has found commercial success in the X-Men franchise and was paid well for her work in Gothika and Catwoman. Halle is very humble as she won and accepted a Razie award for her role in Catwoman. She is also a Revelon Model and does work for Versace.

Halle Berry has been married and divorce twice. Her first marriage was to baseball player David Justice and her second marriage to musician Eric Benet. Both marriages ended with allegations of marital infedelity from her spouses. Halle has stated that she does not want to get married again and may plan on adopting children one day.
